TIGERS COMPLETE SQUAD

Brickhill Tigers today completed their squad for the season with the double signing of Richard Love and Edward Douglas.  Love joins in a £15,000 deal from Leeds Jaguars, and Edward Douglas (who is likely to start the season at No.7) in a £25,000 deal from Wanborough Knights.

"The search for a No.7 has been almost impossible this year, with plenty of clubs in a similar situation.  We had two offers turned down flat for other riders, and we weren't trying to get them on the cheap.  We made two bids which were probably well over the top, but they were still refused point blank.  We didn't  feel, at this time, that it would be prudent to offer even more.  As it is, we are delighted to announce our two signings,  Richard Love will form a crucial part of our Academy Team as he bids to push  for a starting place.  Edward Douglas will most likely start the year at No.7 after three excellent years at Academy level, and a fair bit of senior experience.  The door is obviously still open for youngster Phil Carr, who we have great hopes for, and any other members of our Academy team."
